Solution Architecture

There are 3 main elements that constitutes the pillars of our SD-WAN solution:

The Core and Edge nodes work together to create private tunnels and can operate independently of the Orchestrator. Being a software defined solution provider, we can adapt to a multitude of hardware, but we have also optimized our selection of hardware to balance between the best value for money as well as reliable performance. These three pillars can also be stacked to provide redundancy on each front.

The Core Node

The core node is responsible for achieving the link aggregation and tunnel management across multiple WAN circuits. It is often called Aggregator and can be located in multiple data centers or in multiple geographies. By creating your private WAN, you can re-use your subnets across private spaces.

CRS core offers a great number of features, from policy enforcement to security such as: QoS, failover, encryption, bandwidth adaptation, traffic/packet balancing, among others…

It can support multi-tenancy which delivers to branches their own private routable IP4 or IPv6 space and can also support SD-WAN node mesh designs.

The Edge Node

The edge node is deployed at the edge level, or the access layer of your branches to establish the physical link aggregation and interface between the WAN and the site LAN layer.

Be it hardware, virtual or containerized, CR-SDWAN edge node can take many forms and give you the advantage of the CPE capabilities and network placement. Simplify the network, reduce the number of edge devices and increase your options by hosting Security applications, WAN Optimization or other applications on the CPE alongside CR-SDWAN.

The Orchestrator

CRS’s Orchestrator is a Centralized Management Server that provides easy and intuitive graphical user interface to manage and monitor deployed networks nodes (Core & Edge) and generate reports on demand. This essential tool unlocks the ability to monitor closely every WAN circuit connected and to compare their performance (Bandwidth, Latency, Jitter, Packet Drops). Through a RESTful API, your team can leverage the conveniency of API and the exhaustive list of action to integrate with other network management tools.
